Dear Parents & Skaters:

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to another season of figure skating!  My philosophy over the past 30 years of coaching and in my own skating experience has always been to combine fun, discipline and a healthy competitive attitude.  A great deal of time is spent in your child's lessons instructing technical skills.  Plus, very important character building traits are formed as a result of these skills.  The combination of both will make the skater more successful both on and off the ice.

As parents, you may have questions regarding your child's progress or other particulars.  Please feel free at any time to discuss any concerns with me.  Any questions should be addressed directly to me!!!  Communication between skaters, parents, and professional makes for a great team. My phone number is 481-7818 (hm) or (cell) 906-0819.

Lessons are set at $16.00-$17.50 per 15 minutes or $8.00 per skater in a group lesson.  Lessons are billed bi-weekly, and are generally paid within a 5 day time frame.  If this is not possible, simply contact me to make other arrangements.    Any bills that are outstanding past 2 weeks will be charged a $25.00 late fee.  I have attempted to gradually increase my fees over the last 30 years, so as to benefit the skaters with the needed amount of lessons necessary to train the athlete successfully.  Just as a matter of interest, my lesson rate started @ $4.50 per 15 minutes!

24 hours notice is necessary when canceling lessons, or you will be charged.  There are no exceptions to this rule.  Other fees may include test-day or Competition coaching (2-3 lessons), simulations, consultation and taping fees, where applicable.  Please ask me what these fees involve at any time.  These rates are set by Skate Canada, and are standard with our Coaching Staff.  Other Coaching expenses such as food, travel and accommodation if  not covered by the Club must be paid by the skater.  I will try to advise you of any times I will be unable to attend skating, providing a substitute coach in my absence, or an alternate lesson time.

Please do not coach or talk to skaters at the ice level.  This is very distracting to skaters and coaches who are trying to teach skills and practice habits.  When viewing skaters, it is best to do so from the stands, or to simply do other things while they are practicing.

I look forward to another successful and fun year!
